Was bound to happen

I finally got my first flat today after about 850 miles. I was under 4 miles from my destination, too. Bah. It was a small piece of glass that caused it. I'm going to have to figure out if I should replace the tire or not. I'm thinking not because the puncture was really small, but will investigate.

My legs don't have the energy they should have. I think I may take another rest day tomorrow to recover. That said, I only did 49 miles. Hilly again with a big constant headwind :(.

BUT! I'm taking a shortcut. The Underground Railroad path the ACA puts together isn't a straight line because it brings you to various historical sites. For example, it's 141 miles from Medina to Delaware following the map because it goes through Oberlin, but I can do it in 91 with most of the savings coming from today. So I'm calling today 84 miles (49 + 35).

I ended up out the door by 8 in order to avoid the rain. About 3 hours in, I got about 5 minutes of light rain then the sun eventually came out. It's supposed to rain tonight. Next few days aren't looking so great weather wise.

I'm southwest of Mansfield almost to Lexington.
